Barbados, an absolute pearl of the Caribbean is famous for its beautiful beaches, colorful culture, and hot hospitality. When preparing for a trip to this island paradise a major question is where to stay. There are so many choices from urban jungle to beach hideaway. it can be exhausting. In this post we will discuss the various areas Barbados has to offer and will make a case for why the west coast is the best area to stay when visiting Barbados.

  1. Bridgetown and the South Coast: Bridgetown, the capital of Barbados, and the surrounding South Coast provide an urban atmosphere. The accommodations here range from luxury hotel to economy hotels and still has access to shopping, nightlife, and culture. It is perfect if you are looking for a different experience, as the beautiful villages and pristine landscapes here offer a more unique getaway. But the absence of placid swim conditions and the remoteness from popular tourist spots could make it less popular for those with a more holistic Barbadian experience in mind.

The North Coast: The northern section of the island, home to cliffs, hidden beaches and picturesque landscapes. The area provides a much quieter option, but you must weigh this against the low amounts of accommodation in the area compared to the distance you may need to travel to reach some major amenities and attractions.

The West Coast – No Brainer: So the last stop, the one you are waiting for – the West Coast. Known as the Platinum Coast, this region is famous for its pristine beaches, turquoise waters, and high-end resorts. These are just a few reasons the West Coast is a winner:

Barbados is comprised of several different regions, and while each has its own unique charm, the West Coast reigns as the clear winner for your most memorable stay. From luxury villa accommodation, beautiful beaches and gourmet dining to attractions nearby, the West Coast is the ideal destination offering the best of both worlds with relaxation and exploration. If you select the west coast, you will be enveloped in the nirvana of Barbadian bliss.
